About the business


Assist Community Services provides a variety of support services to individuals within the Townsville community. Our vision is to be the "first choice" provider in Townsville by delivering services that empower and promote choice and control.


About the role


As a Lifestyle Support Worker you will work in a variety of different settings with a diverse range of individuals who will have varying and unique support needs. 


Key responsibilities/ duties will include but are not limited to:



  • Assisting people to access the community

  • Assisting with in-home tasks 

  • Personal assistance with self-care activities


Skill development



  • Upholding the rights of individuals

  • Maintaining appropriate records and reporting requirements

  • Maintaining privacy and confidentiality

You must be able to work with a diverse range of people with different support needs. Be energetic and committed to achieving positive outcomes for the people you support. Great communication and interpersonal skills.


The successful applicant will need...



  • A current Australian drivers licence as well as a roadworthy and reliable vehicle.

  • To undergo a criminal history check and obtain a blue card and positive notice exemption card

  • Obtain a first aid and CPR certificate (within 3 months) 

  • Complete the NDIS worker orientation module prior to engagement, visit: https://training.ndiscommission.gov.au/ to register and complete

  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal, computer)

  • Be able to work flexibly in response to client requirements.
