Job Description


Westcare Early Learning Centre is a family-owned business, aspiring to offer exceeding quality care in the early childhood sector. Based on Montessori inspired environments, our teaching practices aim to enrich the strengths of our children and foster their natural curiosity for playing and learning.


We are currently looking for an experienced, well-organised Assistant Director/Education Leader who will be able to deliver exceptional learning outcomes for children and educators within the service in this amazing combined leadership role. You will be responsible for ensuring that the delivery of curriculum and planning is consistent with the requirements of the National Quality Framework, The Early Childhood Australia Code of Ethics.


The role of an Assistant Director is a busy and varied one. With a strong focus on being hands on with the team in a coaching and mentoring capacity, ensuring the Centre is compliant and exceeding with all the regulatory requirements listed in the National Regulations and National Quality Standards, with the focus to provide an excellent level of education and care to the children. The role provides the platform for longer term career succession. The majority of your time will be spent working across all rooms, however there will be non-contact time to support the Director with admin related responsibilities and stepping in when the Director is away.


Essential Criteria:



  • Current ACECQA approved Diploma/Bachelor qualification.

  • Current working with children's check.

  • Current Anaphylaxis, asthma, CPR and first aid certificates.

  • Current child protection training.

  • Experience in delivering a high-quality program and practice.

  • Have exceptional communication skills both verbal and written.

  • Excellent understanding of the National Quality Framework, including the National Quality Standards, and the national assessment and rating system.
