Who We Are

Focal Point Building Inspections is a leading Melbourne-based building inspection services provider offering new construction staged inspections, pre-purchase inspections and Dilapidation reports.

The Role

We are currently seeking a building inspector to undertake building condition and defect reports. The opportunity also exists to undertake other inspections as required. 

About You

The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, have high integrity and possess the following attributes:

• Registered Building Practitioner (essential)


• Minimum 10 years’ residential and commercial building experience


• Specific prior building inspection experience  (essential)


• Current Drivers licence and own suitable vehicle for carrying required equipment  (essential)


• Computer literate with MS Office and other IT systems


• Strong attention to detail and be well presented


• Effective written and verbal communication skills


• A working knowledge of Building Codes and Guide to tolerances standards


• Current police check and relevant insurances including Professional Indemnity.


• Timber Pest inspection experience, whilst not essential, would be well regarded.
