An exciting opportunity has become available for a Medical Receptionist to join Medsana Medical.
Medsana Medical Clinic is a modern, state of the art General Practice located at the Freeway Office Park in Eight Mile Plains. About the role:
Casual position
15-30 hours per week (may include Saturdays)
Clinic trading hours:
Monday – Friday: 8am 5:30pm
Saturday: 8am – 1:30pm
Sunday & Public Holidays: CLOSED
Training will be provided
Duties include, but not limited to:
Answering phones in timely, warm and professional manner
Maintaining patient database ensuring validity of all records
Scanning and distribution of incoming mail/paperwork
Ensuring the practice is presentable at all times
Processing Medicare billing and invoices
Booking and managing appointments for GPs, Specialists and Allied Health
Assisting Practitioners and Practice Manager when required
Stocking clinic and consulting rooms with office and medical supplies
Cleaning; dusting, wiping down desks, taking out bins, sweeping and mopping floors, etc
Opening & Closing practice
Requirements:
Ability to work independently
Able to uphold privacy and confidentiality at all times
Well presented with a professional and friendly attitude
Efficient, motivated and responsible
Excellent phone manner, and face-to-face customer service
Follow practice policies and procedures
Cross-cultural awareness and willingness to travel overseas if required
Preferred but not essential:
Experience with Best Practice software
Knowledge of Medicare and Private Health Insurance billing
Supplementary Pay: Penalty rates
Permitted to work permanently with no restriction on hours (e.g. citizen, permanent resident) (Required)
