Director - Kirwan Uniting Church Child Care Centre

We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated and passionate Director to join our centre located in Kirwan. The Centre is sponsored by the Uniting Church  and operates Monday-Friday 7.30am-5.30pm closing all public holidays and three weeks over Christmas. This is a full time position with a half day RDO each fortnight.

To be considered for the position you must have:

• A Diploma in Children's Services


• Anaphylaxis, Asthma, CPR and First Aid Certificates


• Current Blue Card and Police Check


• A minimum of 2 years experience as a Centre Director


• A high level understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), National Quality Standards (NQS) and Quality Improvement Plans (QIP)


• Sound understanding of CCS and Hub works


• High level of verbal and written communication skills


• Ability to lead and mentor a team of qualified and committed early childhood professionals

Duties for the role will include:

• Manage the day to day operations of the Centre in line with legislative requirements, policies and procedures


• Provide leadership and guidance to all staff


• Ensure that high quality early learning programs are delivered by a passionate team of Educators


• Manage staffing rosters efficiently


• Deliver consistent high quality standards for centre presentation and work practices


• Build and maintain strong relationships with educators, families, children and the local community


• The Director is responsible for the overall operation of the Centre on behalf of the Management Committee.

Must hold:

• Current Blue Card


• First Aid Certificate (including Asthma & Anaphylactic Training) 


• CPR Certificate
