We are a family-owned and operated business, seeking new staff members to add to our team.

Somerville Swim School have been offering learn to swim classes to the community since early 2016. With a purpose-built facility we focus on providing an intimate learning environment for swimmers, and a dedication to offering small class sizes.

Our pool has state of the art water sanitation, using UV, Ozone, Magnesium & Potassium and is heated to 32 degrees, all of which allows us to keep chlorine levels to a minimum.

We are looking for new employees to take on regular shifts on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

- A current Austswim or Swim Australia teaching qualification

- A current Working with Children's Check

- A current CPR certificate

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

- A current Teacher of Infant Aquatics qualification

- Experience teaching Parent & Child classes

REMUNERATION

Somerville Swim School employees are employed on a casual basis and paid under the Fitness Industry Award.

- Hourly Rate: Monday - Friday $30.00 per hour, Saturday & Sunday $35.00 per hour

- Superannuation: Paid under the award at 9.5% of income earned

- Pay Frequency: Weekly on Wednesdays

EXPECTATIONS

As Somerville Swim School operates for 50-weeks each year we expect our employees to attend 90% of their regular shifts.

CURRENT AVAILABLE SHIFTS

Listed below are the regular shifts available to the successful applicants. Please note that shift length is changeable week-to-week and dependent upon the number of classes per shift.

- Friday: 3.30 pm - 7.15 pm, 3.75 hours

- Saturday: 8.00 am - 12.45 pm, 4.75 hours

- Sunday: 7.45 am - 1.00 pm, 5.25 hours

- Monday: 3.15 pm - 8.00 pm, 4.75 hours
