All Inclusive Care Services (AICS) supports  people living with a disability in Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Maitland and surrounding regions.   AICS is committed to providing choice and opportunity to people as they access the individual support needs required to live as valued members of their community.   We are seeking suitably qualified and experienced support workers at Grade 3 level to provide quality care and support to people with complex needs inclusive of challenging behaviours and alternate communication methods.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

• Tertiary qualifications in nursing, social work or related field.


• Experience supporting people with complex needs including psychosocial, physical, intellectual, neurological and sensory disabilities.


• Demonstrated experience implementing behaviour support plans and positive behaviour strategies to support people presenting with behaviours of concern.


• Resilience, empathy and flexibility


• Be available to work a 7 day 24hour roster including public holidays


• Demonstrated understanding of participant rights and the NDIS code of conduct


• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills


• Be an Australian citizen or have the right to work in Australia


• Current Senior First Aid and CPR certificate


• Current Drivers License and reliable comprehensively insured motor vehicle that can be used for work purposes.


• Current Working with Children check,


• Current National Police check
