Presently, we are looking for a qualified diesel mechanic with a broad knowledge in the diesel repair industry.

The position will suit someone who has a thorough understanding in general fleet service and repairs. Someone who takes pride in their work and works well both with others and unsupervised in a small setting.

The position offers stable, long term employment in a small family environment with a modern, very clean workshop.

A remuneration package is offered in-line with level of experience.

Position is offered for immediate start.

Job Description


Qualifications & experience



  • Min 2years experience with chassis work and knowing braking system.

  • MUST be Qualified or extensive experience is considered after evaluation.

  • An All rounder.


Tasks & responsibilities



  • check all available fleets in yard every morning

  • report to supervisor

  • carry out All Maintenance and repairs to Trucks and trailers, auto work is also involved

  • carry out Services as required

  • travel to breakdowns if needed

Daily business:



  • Daily diagnostics, fault finding abilities, repairs and maintenance of various models of Trucks and Trailers, hydraulics, transmissions and engines.

  • Accurate and timely completion of service reporting

  • Liaising with our service and parts networks

  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace.


Skills and experience required. 



  • A fully qualified Diesel Technician with practical experience in the field

  • Experience with computer diagnostics

  • Previous experience working on truck and trailers

  • Effective time management and ability to work autonomously   

  • A strong commitment to health and safety

  • Current drivers’ licence (must have)

  • Welding ability is desirable but not essential

  • Honesty, reliability and a willingness to learn

  • A can-do positive attitude 


Successful applicant:


We have casual, part-time and full time position with an immediate start offering an attractive pay package including super and may include overtime on occasions.

  • Years of experience as a mechanic

  • current Australian driver's licence

  • Experience with welding and repairs on tautliner 

  • Experience on trailers and carrying out heavy vehicle repairs

  • Experience in performing automotive vehicle services?
