Job Description

Roof Rack World in Blair Athol is a SA owned and operated business, specialising in manufacturing and fitting 4WD accessories such as roof-rack systems, cargo barriers and van shelving solutions. We are currently looking for a new Sheet Metal Fabricator/Fitter to help in the warehouse to start as soon as possible.

The role will involve:

• Sheet-metal fabrication and welding


• Fitment of some 4wd accessories such as Rhino, Yakima roof racks and accessories cargo barriers, van shelving


• Manufacturing of roof racks and truck accessories


• Receiving and dispatching of goods


• Onsite training will be provided for the right candidate

To be successful you will possess the following attributes:

• Experience with fabrication and welding is essential, minimum 2 years in a similar role


• Current driver’s licence, ability to drive a manual vehicle


• Forklift licence an advantage


• Knowledge of 4WD accessories


• Excellent problem solving skills


• Strong sense of initiative and ability to be responsive to customer and business needs


• Strong communication skills


• Team player, with a flexible, enthusiastic approach


• Self-motivated and be able to work with minimal supervision and demonstrate good workshop and communication skills

Remuneration will be determined via the appropriate award.

Our warehouse is open 8.15 am to 5.15 pm Monday to Friday and 8.15 am to 1.00 pm Saturday’s.

The business attends 2 x 4Wd/Caravan and Camping Shows a year, held at the Royal Adelaide Show Grounds. Some overtime will be required and paid accordingly.
