CRANE FITTER/INSTALLER

About the role

Our continued growth offers opportunities for an experienced crane fitter to work in our engineering workshop in Queanbeyan NSW, AUSTRALIA.

This is a hands-on role requiring the following:

• An experienced crane specialist


• Installation of vehicle loading cranes


• Manufacture subframes


• Read & interpret engineering drawings


• Understanding of engineering fundamentals and Australian Standards in relation to vehicle loading cranes


• Manufacture of flexible hoses and pipework


• Understanding of crane safety systems and load testing


• Experience with installation of pump & PTOs


• General experience with heavy vehicle modification


• Carry out detailed crane service and safety inspections

Skill Requirements

• Minimum Certificate III in Engineering Mechanical Trade or Fitter/Welder qualifications


• High level of fabrication & welding skills;


• Low voltage electrical experience;


• Follow instructions with attention to detail;


• Experience with servicing & maintenance of truck mounted cranes


• Post trade Fluid Power qualifications would be an advantage
