Job Description

We are looking for a new member to join our team. This is a full-time position based in the western suburbs.

The duties of the position include:

• Meat selection and preparation for sale and supply by removing bones, trimming fat and cutting, mincing and grinding meat to shape and size as ordered.


• Slicing, dicing and portion-cutting


• Selecting and preparing meat to produce small goods


• Operating machines, such as band-saw and sausage filling machine, to grind, mix, mince, tenderise meat and making sausages


• Making seasoning and curing special cuts


• Maintain and clean workspace and adhere to OH&S, including beginning of day set-up and end of day clean-up

Skills and Experience required

• Relevant qualification/s required (AQF Certificate III in Meat Processing or equivalent)


• Minimum 12 months relevant work experience (favoured)


• Sound cutting skills,for example, ability to clean bone all base and cuts down to muscle primal and equip knowledge of all variety of meat products and stock control procedures


• Excellent communication and customer service


• Precision and attention to detail


• Reliable and self motivated


• Strong equipment safety knowledge
