As a progressive electrical contracting company, we are looking for motivated, experienced electricians who are able to perform maintenance one day and diagnose and repair electrical faults the next. We provide a large variety of work and challenges to ensure minimum boredom and maximum job satisfaction.

While our electricians are doing this, they are also teaching and mentoring one of our apprentices. Sutterby Electrical has a close relationship with PEER, a leading training provider, and the source of our apprentices. We pride ourselves in training the next generation of electricians and doing so safely.

The successful candidates will be able to:

• Work closely with our supervising team


• Communicate clearly and respectfully with clients at all levels


• Have an in depth knowledge of safety


• Perform a Job Safety Analysis, for all tasks


• Ensure their and our clients safety at all times


• Perform preventative maintenance in accordance with Technical Data Sheets


• Perform fault finding in a variety of different environments


• Train apprentices of all levels to help develop their skills

As a licensed electrician you will have the following:

• Working with children clearance – formerly known as DCSI clearance - no clearance no start.


• Solid understanding of AS3000


• EWP license


• Current Low Voltage Rescue certificate


• White card


• Working at heights certificate

Having one or more of the following will be an advantage:

• Solar Accreditation


• Confined Space license


• Data license and endorsements


• 5 plus years of experience
