Tyre Technicians

Wheel Aligner

Year 2 or 3 Apprentice

COMPANY PROFILE

Jax Tyres have a refurbished store specializing in tyres, wheels, brakes and suspension servicing.

Our showroom has a flat screen TV coffee facilities and a bathroom.  Our brands include BFGoodrich, Bridgestone, Continental, Dunlop, Goodyear, Hankook, Laufenn, Michelin, Mickey Thompson and Pirelli.

THE ROLES

Tyre Technician

• Removing and replacing tyres


• Diagnosing tyre damage & wear


• Diagnosing wheel balance problems and balancing wheels


• Performing puncture repairs conforming to relevant standards


• Selecting correct tyres tubes and rims and accessories


• Providing a high standard of customer service in a professionally presented environment


• Wheel Aligner


• Performing Wheel alignment(s) and Tyre Fitments of passenger, light commercial and 4WD tyres.


• Diagnosis of tyre wear issues and tyre repair


• Ensuring all Safe Work Procedures are adhered to at all times.


• Work with the Tyre Store Manager to ensure professional customer service is provided at all times.

KEY SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

• Drivers license preferred but not essential


• Excellent customer service skills


• Must be able to work on Saturdays


• To be punctual & reliable


• Previous experience preferred, but not essential


• Sound knowledge and adherence to OH&S practices


• Resident in Australia with working rights (location is in Maroochydore)


• Have a genuine interest in the industry


• Willing to undertake ongoing training and development
