About Us

The Montessori Preschool in Wagga is a family owned and operated preschool and early learning centre. We follow a Montessori philosophy and curriculum to educate children.  Our point of difference is that we provide a quality preschool program that is outcomes based, individually specific to children’s needs and interest and where the child is supported to be independent, self directed and engaged. Our holistic approach is delivered in an environment specifically designed to meet the child’s different stages of development, by recognising children’s natural love of learning at their own pace. Our Centre is purpose built including an exceptionally large outside free play environment.

About the Role

We are seeking a Preschool Teacher who has university qualifications in teaching to join our dynamic team. We offer a great long-term opportunity for pre-graduate, post-graduate or experienced Early Childhood Teachers to expand their careers with us.  These positions are permanent full time or part time and could also be on a short term contract. The duties include:

  • Ensuring daily outcomes are achieved

  • Working with the team to deliver child focussed programing and related documentation

  • Engaging in meetings and centre based decision making

  • Working with families to ensure child specific goals are met

  • Communicating with families and engaging in discussions on school readiness

  • Working with the team to maintain a high quality prepared environment

  • Attending formal and informal Montessori training

Benefits of the position:

  • Generous Remuneration - Negotiable above award salary for the right applicants

  • Educating children – Actually using your teaching skills to educate children

  • Advance Your Career - Ongoing training, learning and development opportunities, part of the management structure of the centre

  • Job Security - Full-time or part time permanent position

  • Team Based Environment - Work within a dynamic team of passionate like-minded educators

Skills & Requirements:

  • Working toward or have completed a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood or Diploma or equivalent (Recognised by ACECQA)

  • Prior teaching experience in a childcare environment is essential

  • Diploma or Cert III

  • Sound knowledge of the New Quality Framework, EYLF and NQS

  • Current First-Aid Certificate, Asthma and Anaphylaxis training

  • Excellent documentation, communication, planning and time management skills.

If you have a genuine passion for working with children and want a career in a successful Montessori environment which is lead by a focussed and committed team, then send your CV.
