Lifestyle Attendants (Support Workers)

About the role


This is a rewarding opportunity that will challenge and inspire you to make a positive change in the lives of people with a disability. You will work closely with customers assisting them to retain maximum independence within their homes and the community to reach their independent goals.


We are currently recruiting Lifestyle Attendants (Support Workers) across the southern region of Adelaide. We have positions vacant in Marion, Mitchell Park, and the surrounding suburbs. To be considered for the role we require you to have the ability to travel or live local to the southern suburbs. We are targeting support workers who have a desire for morning and evening shifts, these shifts have the potential to start from 6am onwards. 


Important:


We provide 24/7 support to many of our clients and therefore this casual position is targeted to those with a broad availability to take part in morning/evening work, weekends, and overnight shifts. 


What we need from you


Preferably, you’ll have previous experience as a Support Worker, experience within the disability sector and are looking for the next challenge in your career. You’ll need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enthusiasm to work closely with a customer, and experience in delivering a high level of care across all support areas (Personal Care, Bowel and Catheter Care, Domestic/Cooking, Community Engagement, Transport). Morning and Afternoon shifts usually are built upon Manual Handling and Personal Care supports, so this will need to be your key strength.

  • South Australian Driver’s License

  • Reliable Vehicle

  • Manual Handling Certificate

  • First Aid Certificate & CPR

  • Disability Employment Screening from DHS or NDIS Employment Screening

  • Working With Children Check/Child Related Employment Screening from DHS

  • Covid 19 vaccinated
