About the Company

Simplex Manufacturing is a family owed business. With over 50 years of Australian manufacturing and engineering expertise.

We are seeking an individual to undertake a Fitter and Turner Apprenticeship, the successful candidate will work full time for 4 years whilst completing a Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical Trade)

Duties & responsibilities:

• Set up and adjust metalworking machines and equipment


• Learn to operate and use Milling Machines/ Lathes and Drills.


• Learn to operate CNC lathes


• Learn welding


• Work within a team environment with a focus on safety and quality.

Role Selection Criteria:

• Enjoy technical work


• Be able to work as part of a team and independently


• Attention to detail


• Genuine interest in Engineering

A Simplex Apprentice will:

• Attend accredited TAFE training


• Receive ongoing mentoring & support


• Receive a weekly wage including entitlements


• The company provides a rewarding and supportive working environment. There will be ample opportunity to receive training for other trade skills
