Mamma’s Italian Restaurant is a family-owned and operated restaurant operating on the Redcliffe peninsula for over 40 years.  We have achieved an iconic status on the peninsula due to our high standard of authentic Italian cuisine and our relational service to our loved customers. We are seeking a qualified Chef to join our already-established Mamma’s family.

About the role

• You must have the ability to work autonomously when required
• You must be able to perform stock takes and orders if required
• You must have a professional attitude and presentation at all times
• You must have the ability to fit within our team and show a strong willingness to learn and maintain our standards and culture
• You must be available Friday and Saturday nights
• You must be able to work pans, grill and pizza oven 

Benefits and perks

We are looking for a full-time Chef committed to working split shifts including weekends.  All ages are welcome to apply.

Skills and experience

The successful applicant is qualified and has a minimum of 3 years experience in cooking Italian cuisine.  The successful applicant will have a good work history and relevant experience in a similar role.

Applicants must have excellent knowledge in all areas of the kitchen, including starches, sauces, preparation and meats.

Knowledge in Gelato making would be an advantage.

Applicants must have a great attitude, be able to fit in with an established team, and be available to work weekends and public holidays.
